Good morning and thank you for your inquiry. I understand you have a Mass Air flow sensor code. I would be happy to help with this problem. We recommend you get the vehicle diagnosed before you spend the money on purchasing the sensor. There could be a contributing factor to the failure of that sensor. Or if you have already purchased the sensor I would be happy to install it for you if you brought it in.
you don't need to replace anything, including the MAF Sensor you just replaced until you take it to someone with a scan tool with live data, that's the only way to know for sure, unless you just want to keep throwing parts/money at it,GUESSING.that code don't mean,go buy a MAF Sensor! you might have a vacuum leak?
Thank you for your help, it make good since to me .
you're welcome..from what i understand now,Autozone or any parts stores read your codes for free and print them out for you,BUT from what i have been told, they stopped it in the state of CA a while back..they won't even read the codes anymore for anyone! they(Autozone) would also tell you to buy this and buy that, but they don't know what you need, they just want to sell you a part, then they have done their job, selling parts!all they have is an OBDII code reader and it just gives you an idea a problem that may have something to do with the MAF Sensor, which may or may not be a false code? my light came on one time and i had 9 codes..I took it to one parts store just to see what they would say about all those codes? they tried to sell me $600.00 worth of sensors? i had already found the problem before i went there! it was a 3 inch piece of vacuum hose that was split and the engine was sucking in air..i got a piece of scrap hose from their box and was putting it on..the parts sales person looked at me like i was stupid, and i said watch this you big dummie! i put that hose on,cleared the codes, engine smoothed out, light never came back on..i gave him the old hose for a souvenir and pulled off and haven't been back! man,i almost got long winded!
