Motor blower worked fine on all positions, then one day it only worked on #5, then shortly after that #5 quit working. Nothing.I replaced the motor blower resistor and now it only works on # 5 position. I connected the blower directly to the battery and it came on. When I connected back inside the vehicle, only 5 worked. I unplugged the connector to the resistor and checked voltage to the connector as I turned the blower switch through the 1 through 5 positions. I found at the 1,2,3,4 positions there was 9vac. At the 5 position 12 vac. Now I'm really confused. Did I buy a bad blower motor resistor or could the switch assembly be bad or maybe even the motor. If the motor was bad, why would it work when connected to the battery? Way to much going on now for me to figure out. PLEASE HELP.
