What is your question?
2007 HHR... I was told crank seal was bad. Under car, you can see where it is just spitting oil. I want to save myself a lot of money and fix it myself, but I'm confused on what to buy. They have a huge range in prices, what should I be looking for? And what else should I buy along with it to do this myself? I know I sound silly, but I've replaced head lamps, break pads, and two bearings on my own, so I'm able to figure these things out.

There is a front and a rear seal. How do I figure out which I need and are there different sizes?
I'm pretty sure you should leave this one to a pro.... Seal replacement isn't a repair for a novice! You are not equipped to tackle this, sorry but that's just how it is! IF it's the front seal.. Complex engine disassembly required.. IF it's the rear seal.. Engine OR transaxle 'removal' required!! Either one takes special tools & equipment plus years of experience to complete 'successfully' so you decide!
It took about 5 hours, but I fixed my rear seal, I also replaced my sepentine belt which was badly cracked. I have the brains, just not the schooling. I know mechanics who get paid a lot of money and screw up cars, all it takes is care, focus, brains, and attention to detail.
I did not have to remove and replace engine. Also, you're kind of rude for a person helping others with their vehicles. Be a nice person, not one that discourages people and tries to detract from their accomplishments. Peace to you. Also, if you want to chew down my accomplishment some more, I used a split seal, and I do understand this creates a higher chance of leakage. Acetone to clean, and I got down to bone on my middle finger. You can get around removing motor.
