Why is my 1982 Chevy Van G30 bogging down? Now it won't move at all.

What is your question?

My engine sputtered just a little then it started bogging down on me. It would shift through 3 gears but is pulling very hard now won't move at all.

Transmission level is good and it shifts well just feels like I'm pulling a 18 wheeler behind me. Not a brake problem like the emergency brake on. What else could I check on the brakes?

Exhaust sound a little different? Vissualy inspect converters for signs of severe overheating , or run it at night get it to act up , and then while it's running (in park) look underneath for orange cats. (NOT Tabbys).
