They put 61/2 qtrs in my car and said I'm still a half low but my van only takes 5 what happens when you over fill plus oil is splattered and dripping near the oil pan

DRAIN SOME OUT UNTIL THE STK READS FULL. YOU COULD CAUSE SEAL DAMAGE OR WORSE
There's oil all over the bottom like it was squirting out and the stick read 1/2 qt low before I noticed that
sounds like the old oil filter o ring was left on oil adaptor during oil change and the oil is leaking out between the old and new o ring. thi shappens at times to people that don't pay attention while working
