What is your question?
My friends timing belt has broken after 100,000 miles on her 2011 GM Equinox. She bought it used with over 90,000 miles. Doesn't the timing belt have to be changed after a certain amount of miles- 60,000 miles? I know it is different for different cars. Is the dealership responsible to change the timing belt if it has never been replaced before selling the car?
What makes this problem better or worse?
The timeing belt has broke
How long has your 2011 Chevrolet Equinox had this problem?
1 week

You must be mistaken about the timing belt as this vehicle is not equipped with one .. Either of the engine options has a *timing chain* instead - which does NOT require any scheduled maintenance.
