Hello, This is an indication that the PCM (engine computer) is recognizing that the engine is running too hot and or the electric cooling fan is not operational. Thus it shuts down the A/C to lower the load and not create extra heat. I would recommend to verify that the coolant level is full, if low add and get to a shop that has the proper diagnostic tools to scan the engine controller and determine the problem. Some possibilities could be, leak in system and low coolant causing overheating, fan inoperative, bad temp sensor reporting false data, bad connection or wiring concern to be a few. We would be happy to further help as needed. Please feel free to give us a call. Your Curt's Service Team 248-545-0500
sometimes it is as simple as being low on coolant or an air pocket in the cooling system, however further diagnostics is required. I would not suggest driving the vehicle, further damage may occur. Please contact me if you need further assistance.
