Why will my doors not open from the inside, and why won’t my window roll down?

Both of the doors in the front driver and passenger side won't open from the inside, I have to roll down the window and open the driver's side door from the outside door handle and the passenger side door window will not even roll down. What is the cause of this and is it going to be expensive to get fixed?
