The end of the steering that fits a boot keeps going dry and i am told it cant be fixed

Steering noise , shaft of steering column goes dry and I am told it will have to be greased everytime I bring my car in for a oil change. . This is dangerous I am afraid it will eventually break. The steering noise starts coming back within a week after it is regreased.

How long has your 2016 Chevrolet Cruze had this problem?
