What is your question?
My car broke down last week. I was driving home from work and heard a weird noise. I went to turn off and it died. Now the mechanic is saying I need a new engine from a radiator leak. I'm just wanting to know why the warranty company is sending an inspector. I got it inspected 8/19 with no issues and this is the first time this happened.

It is common practice for third party extended warranty companies to send an independent inspector to look at the vehicle especially on large repairs like an engine. The inspector works neither for the warranty company or the shop as they are hired in, so they are an impartial person that verifies the repairs needed. They do that to make sure that what the shop is saying needs to repaired or replaced is in fact what needs to be done and that no one is trying to scam them or you. It is the same process as if you were having an insurance claim on your car or home. Before the company pays thousands of dollars they need to verify that it is correct. Having dealt with well over a hundreds claims it is generally nothing to be worried about and is just part of the claims process.
“Got it inspected 8/19” is irrelevant! .... Insurance company want to know exactly WHAT happened - thus the visit by the inspector.
