What is your question?
I recently purchased a car from a family member and it had not been taken care of and was going up and down dirt roads a lot. At first it said “transmission hot-idle engine” and started shifting hard and my gauges Started bouncing so I checked all my fluids. Added transmission fluid, oil and some water then it ran ok for a week or so then it started doing that again but also saying “engine hot-idle car” and my rpm were running high when I wasn’t moving very fast at all. Then I pulled up to a stop sign and it shut off and not it won’t crank. The belts turn the fan won’t come on and the car isn’t sounding like it is going to even try to crank. All the fuses are ok. PLEASE HELP

Huge difference between CRANK and START .. Must CRANK an engine before it will START. Won’t CRANK is like the battery is dead ... Won’t START is like being out of gas or ignition spark. Exactly what is happening when attempting to start the engine > engine is CRANKING ok but will not START? ... Engine will not CRANK at all ?
It’s spinning fast but will not turn over. Possibly no compression?
Always a good idea to include engine size when seeking repair advice! Your engine MORE that likely has a failed TIMING BELT - and the results would indeed be NO COMPRESSION ~ NO ‘START’.. Won’t turn over is a good thing - ya never really want one to > turn over! Good luck with it!
