Retired!

Hey "retired person",you ever go to little bitty flea market in Hillsville Labor day weekend,Fri-Mon?

My son and I used to go every year - on Saturday - finally got to be more trouble than it was worth - kinda like going to a monster truck show - once you’ve seen one... I’ve bought a gun or two there in past years - but prices are too high. It’s pretty neat but can get to be pretty tough - specially when ya get older - them hills get harder to climb - in HOT weather!

I wished they would have it bout the end of October .. I like ‘cool’ weather - but not COLD..

My brother been going there bout 10 years now selling,he's there now.I believe he said last year,bout 450,000 people went through there,said they shut the whole town down! he took all his stuff up there on Wed,came back home,went back Thurs night.He does real good there,just knows what selling and what ain't,and yes cooler would be better!

Well when you are making money - it changes things .. It was always going the other way when we went.. It’s still a cool all day outing - for the younger folks .. I just ain’t in good enough shape to do that anymore .. Done got pretty lazy too.

His son came Fri morning to help him from NC State.brother beats anything I've ever seen. he's got a 45 hour week regular job in Charlotte,goes straight from there on Mon to China Grove Auction to buy,comes back home,cuts grass tues,wed,thurs,boils peanuts thurs night (several flavors,got a trailer with 4 peanut cookers on it)),goes to auction fri night to sell,goes to flea market in Salisbury sat/sun selling,goes to another auction on sat night selling,back to flea market sun selling,goes to another auction on sun night to sell,repeats every week. I don't have that energy! Later,sr1?
