What is your question?
We have never driven this car in the rain, so we had never used the wipers. It was an inherited vehicle that sat in a garage for the last three years. The car was inspected last month, so they had to be working then. We took it to a car wash (usually wash and dry it at home), and put the wipers on. They worked, but when we turned them off, they stayed in a straight up position instead of going down. After repeatedly turning them on then off, they finally went the whole way down. We would like to sell the car, and don't want that to be the a reason for it not to sell. We were told it might be the windshield circuit board, not the motor. If so, is it an easy and inexpensive repair? The car is a 2001 corvette Z06. Also is there somewhere close to Plum Borough / Monroeville, Pennsylvania that can do the repair? Thanks
How long has your 2001 Chevrolet Corvette had this problem?

Hello, first -- here are some shops near you to check out: https://repairpal.com/repair-shops/chevrolet-repair-and-service-in-pittsburgh-pennsylvania Second -- the wiper motor usually has internal components that determine where the wiper arms park. I've also seen wiper switches cause concern.
More than likely the park position ‘switch’ located inside the wiper motor has failed - in which case wiper ‘motor’ replacement will be required.
Since vehicle has been garage kept - Lifting wiper blades off windshield glass to the upright position then ‘’exercising’’ wiper motor for a while with engine on ‘may’ resolve park problem(?) Aftermarket wiper motor will be around $50.00. No need purchasing original equipment from GM for ‘this’ repair ! Recommend *hands-on* testing to confirm failure. Good luck!
