What is your question?
I noticed a grinding noise when in 4WD Low and high when I start driving about 15 mph. I’ve tried to research the problem and I’ve seen stuff about a front differential or a pinion. There is no noise or grinding when in 2WD, it did start snowing today and getting into freezing temps but I’ve never had a problem with this until now. I have a Chevy Colorado 2007 thank you for your help.

Visually inspect area around the front driveshaft for possible exhaust shield contact - front driveshaft doesn’t rotate until 4x4 is engaged. Otherwise the problem needs *hands-on* evaluation by qualified personnel - there are multiple possibilities - to numerous for beneficial online diagnosis. The exhaust shield contacting driveshaft issue is just something I have seen and is one possibly. Good luck.
Another suggestion is when low traction conditions are approaching - exercise the 4wd system before hand - not after the snow comes! Actually it should be done periodically regardless. ‘Lift kits’ are also hard on driveline components .. Just saying.
