What is your question?
started 2 months ago. There is a wire that goes to the sensor, transmission fluid dripping off the wire that plugs into the speed sensor on the pass side. I changed the speed sensor on the pass side, but that didn't work. I also changed the transmission fluid and filter.
What makes this problem better or worse?
nothing changes
How long has your 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier had this problem?
couple months
Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry I didn't explain myself better. On the passenger side, on the back of the motor there is a speed sensor. The sensor pushes into a hole in the transmission, then mounts onto the transmission. The sensor has a rubber O ring. There is a set of two wires coming from the drivers side that plugs into the sensor. The wire makes a small loop before being plugged into the sensor. The transmission leak is spotted dripping from that wire, I don't see anything else that might leaking behind the motor. Just pic, the wire comes from driver's side, runs down the back of the motor then plugs in to the sensor, wire loops a bit and that is were I see transmission fluid dripping. This is a 2005 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyc auto trans Hope this helps, Please contact when you can. Thank-You Oh I did replace the sensor to. Thanks- You
The only thing other than the vss that might be leaking near the passenger side is the inner axle seal. Probably need to have *vehicle hoisted* for a more thorough inspection.
