IF this problem was present BEFORE fuel pump installation - it's more than likely the fuel GAUGE is culprit. IF this problem was NOT present BEFORE fuel pump installation - return to installer for warranty repairs. Fuel level sensor (sending unit) is part of the fuel pump module.
