I am doing my absolute best to find a digital instrument cluster (GM Part No.: 16164576) for my 1994 Chevrolet Caprice Classic LS. Would you please be so kind to assist? Thanks.
What is your question?
The digital speedometer and odometer used to just phase in and out. Bang it hard and it would come back on. Sometimes for a month; other times for a moment. Apparently, it's not tolerating that anymore and appears to be ignoring my efforts with a vengeance. Part (OEM 16164576) appears to be discontinued. Any suggestions as to a repair (one shop that I reached out to in California no longer stocks the parts) or a salvage yard? Would truly like to know how fast I am traveling as well as my mileage. Help!

Just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU. Please know that I originally sent my cluster to a firm called MyAirbags in Georgia. They returned it saying that they couldn’t repair it. I then forwarded it to another firm called ModuleMaster (www.modulemaster.com) in Moscow, Idaho (my cluster has traveled more than my car). It has been repaired, is back in my vehicle, and all is functioning well. The moral of this challenge: Never take, “it can’t be doneâ€, for an answer. The solution may take a while and a few trials, however, sometimes the expertise of a skilled surgeon is required instead of the hesitancy a general practitioner.
