why won't my car start when it gets below 32 degrees?
What is your question?
It will start if it has been in the garage or if it's above 32 degrees. I was told to replace the coolant temp sensor because when they go bad they read -40 degrees & dump to much fuel into the motor causing it to flood. What else could be the issue causing it to not start. 92 caprice wagon 5.0L

The sensor can also fail on the other extreme and read much higher than actual ambient temperature, resulting in not enough fuel enrichment!!.. Did you replace the coolant temperature SENSOR?

Yes I did replace it & the new updated pig tail to fit the sensor.
Scan test needed to view live data 'before' cold start!
will have to find someone with obd1 scan tool so i can have that done
Any auto repair shop should be equipped for that!.. In fact should be able to scan test with live data from 1980 1/2 to at least 2013..!
