location of access hole to extract lifter
What is your question?
I know this sounds stupid but I loosened the rocker and removed the pushrod (like the haynes manual said. It shows extracting the lifter with a strong magnet or scribe and pulling it out through the hole, my question is what hole? the hole that the rod was in? It seems far too small.
