Carbureted engine and transmission together... Absolutely !!!!!!! Don't worry about the ECM, won't need it!!... Drive on!... Don't know about any vehicle inspection problems in your zip code but it can be done!
Do you mean can it be done ??? SURE , do you have emissions testing in your state/area?
no.i have some guys telling me the trans wont shift right. and theres to much computer stuff.
Being a 1994 then you will encounter a lot of challenges. The transmission is electronically shifted so you will certainly have issues there. Somethings you will have to purchase is a wiring harness, transmission, carburetor , distributor, intake manifold and such.. Anything can be done but you will have to weigh out the cost and decide if you really want to invest that much money to make it work. Why do you want to install a carburetor engine in this vehicle ? If the engine needs to be replaced then why dont you just replace it with a remanufactured engine of the same type ? The cost would be less than swapping it over to the carb set up and most engine remanufactures give a 100,000 mile warranty.. Best of luck , Chuck
2 or 4WD make a diff. if changing all? Drive-shaft lengths , trans. mount modifications? ..... Money and the right shop/experience always a plus!!!! I've seen OLDs 455s dropped in the back of OLD VW bugs , as chuck coats pretty much said , if you have money and determination (knowledge and skill somewhere also helps) anything is possible. Good luck.
Good days work... Maybe 2..!!
