What kind of product can I use to safety to add to my oil change to help with the seals until I have the money to replace the seals? At the leading auto parts stores I've found products on the shelves to help soften dried out seals.... Should I add the additive with my next oil change?... Thank you, Steven Priest.

It probably isn't going to help much... Valvoline Max Life oil will help about as much as anything.. Is the smoking going away after a short drive and engine warms up?.. Unless it is continually smoking, using excessive amounts of oil or fouling spark plugs.. You don't really have to be too concerned about a little valve stem seal leak on a small block Chevy!!!.. That just insures the valve guides are getting lube!!.. Steam from pipe is not oil related.. Most likely from cooler ambient temps!.. IF it not presenting a real problem... Drive it!.. Just saying, I've been working on em 40+ years, if it helps!
