how to get quick tip to stay on after replacing fuel pump. 2 out of 3 stay clip

Replace fuel pump only one clip comes off after car starts and runs a while then gas spurts out. I've replaced manifold gasket wires plugs oxygen sensors spider , catalytic converter and something else all to help starting and running south. Even gauges stopped working and started back after cat replaced. Could clip be defective. Can you glue it? It sounds great when it runs
