Transmission fluid leaking from the tail shaft housing is the problem with vehicle operation in 4x4 - without the driveshaft in place, there is nothing you can do to to prevent that .. No way to retain the driveshaft yoke - even if it were removed from the shaft and inserted into the transmission .. Now you can move the Blazer around some using 4x4 to get it in the desired parking spot - BUT - operation on the roadway will destroy the transmission. Unfortunately - Driveshaft repair OR replacement is required. I guess just need to be 'thankful' it didn't cause an accident when the driveshaft shaft dropped out - under the right circumstances - that can flip a vehicle over. Good luck with it!
