What is your question?
My sons 01 has 109,500 on it . It runs oil pressure starts off at 40lbs then after warmed drops to near 0 . After giving throttle pressure rises to about 24 lbs . It also has a small anti freeze leak somewhere ( assume its intake ) . I was told that sometimes the antifreeze gets into the oil thins it causing low pressure and bearing wear . Where do I start to figure this out ? Oil has some fine metal in it (sparkles) but not really showing any antifreeze mix. Do I have the bottom half done on it and change oil pump or look for another engine ??

(4.3L Vortec) ... â–ªï¸Is the engine knocking, rattling, ticking or making 'any' strange noise when oil pressure drops ?â–ªï¸ Actual oil pressure test with manual test guage required!
Yes a constant ticking left side no matter if the oil pressure is at 40lbs or not .
Suggest manual pressure test, remove oil sender and install test guage for ACTUAL pressure reading.. External coolant leak has no effect on oil pressure.. Trained ear can usually confirm cause of engine noises... May want to remove drive belt then temporarily run engine to see if noise stops... This engine is a very durable version of the proven Chevy Small Block V/8 with 2 cylinders omitted.. Routinely see 300k miles without issues! .. However it's possible for any engine to develop problems .. under certain conditions.. Good luck !
External and internal leak , a little mixing with oil turning it a little milky color along with all the metal dust inn the oil. I understand what your saying about the guage on the sending unit but with the metal in the oil has gotten my attention. And then all of a sudden the lifter starts clacking away
