2000 Chevrolet Blazer A/C blowing warm air

Thank you for your quick reply. The compressor is running, but not staying on long enough to cool? There is enough freon in the system. The low side presure (PSI) is 30.

Turn ac on max, high fan. Now, under hood on the pass. side, at the silver accumulator, unplug the iow pressure switch, it is easily seen, jumper the two wires together to see if ac compressor will run longer. IF so, more freon is needed! Dont exceed 40 psi. low side. If that doesn't work, post results! Or post IF it does for others.

We jumped the two wires together and the A/C compressor does run longer. He then put in more freon. Still warm air. The gauges were on and when he looked PSI was 41. The A/C compressor does run longer - still warm air - compressor statede making a loud knocking noise and had to shut the car off. What do you think the problem is. We now have a new one. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Is the accum. cold with ac running? Possible expanision tube problem. Google what you need to know and see if youtube has a video that is relative. Video is worth more than a 1,000 words! If not, then we will advise further.

Hello again, thanks for your reply and assistant. I do not go on YouTube nor does my PC display video. Just wanted to let you know we took my Blazer to a Cadillac dealership. They checked my vehicle out and found: - A/C lead in evaporator core - Pressure relief value is not working right - Cooling core for A/C behind radiator has to be flushed out - A/C compressure has to be flushed out July 31st - Warm air coming out of A/C vents again Driving only 32 miles the A/C vents blowing warm air. Back to Cadillac Dealership. Called them 1:00pm and said to bring in 8:00am next day. Brought Blazer in 7:42 Aug. 1/13. Kept Blazer overnight. 10:21am ready call. Picked up Blazer, said no charge. They said new problems CAUSE: leak at the low pressure switch Replaced low pressure switch, recharge, small leak at the accumultor, recover and replace accumulator, road test. No charge this time, being at Cadillac dealership for the 3rd time for the same problem. Hope this information will help readers that have A/C problems in Blazer. JULY 18th - AGAIN WARM AIR COMING OUT OF A/C VENTS Well back to Cadillac dealership. We are having the same problem. Will keep you posted on what they say is the problem. Warm air coming out of the A/C vents - Replace housing that goes around the evaporator core if the plastic comes apart - Add refrigerant - Sealer - dye (red dye) in test for leaks. My Blazer has 100,000 miles on it. I will report back again when I get the bill and list of repairs that were made. Thanks for your help in the past. July 18th 8:00am - Back to Cadillac dealership Service Advisor says we need a Schrader value & tube. Keeping the car from Friday to Monday. Of course, this is an additional charge. Keep you posted
