Temp gage rose almost all way. But had let cool down all day and drove again. Did not let get all way hot, I would shut off b4 could. When parked vehicle and refilled coolant hours later I noticed major leak of coolant, so jacked front end up to investigate where leak was and would not start after. The engine will crank and starter go but seams like no spark.
Due to location of ignition componets on the 2.2L it's possible coolant has drenched the coils and plug wires, spraying them with W-D40 might help.. Suggest compression test as well. .. Good luck with it!
