Why doesn't the fuel light on the cluster come on when i turn on the ignition in my Aveo and neither does it light up when the tanks empty. I've checked the globe on the cluster and it is still fine.

Firstly.. To help cool and prolong electronic fuel pump life, fuel level should not be allowed to go much (if any) below 1/4 tank .. ** 'IF' the bulb in the instrumen cluster is ok** .. The low fuel light segment of the (in-tank) fuel level sensor is suspect and may be more expensive to repair than it is actually worth! .. That's entirely up to you of course...
