I am a pro....and I happen to own same truck.....I would not attempt to do it in driveway. It all depends on haveing right tools and how much time and engery you have yourself. Go play golf and let the pro make his living too.
Nice. That's funny s**t! . I would like to be golfing but it's not the season yet up here in Canada. Still have snow. Thanks for the advice. I was wanting to tackle project in driveway as I didn't want to get it towed. But if that's what I have to do. So be it! Again thank you. Stay busy. Cheers
Driveway with snow and ice....no way?....ok, get a hot cup of coco and wave bye bye to the tow truck as they take it to a nice warm shop. Then you can go watch golf on TV. ....... but really if I was stranded and was near a parts store that rents or loans tools, I guess one could do it. All to often I hear of folks having cars fall of jack stands or sometimes people attempt to use car jack and blocks....better safe than sorry. Good luck!
Yes I agree. That truly is the best option. Thanks again for the advice

If this is to be done at a shop. Is there a ballpark material and labour I should be looking for?
Not sure how labor rates differ here and us dollar difference is but down here it would be about $350.00 for a replacement halfshaft using a reman or afterrmarket new shaft.
Thank you appreciate the help. Have a good day!
I have tools and mechanical knowledge to do it. Are there any specialty tools needed, aside from the basic sockets and wrenches? No pullers or specialty pliers needed. Thanks for the prompt reply.
