Oil pressure sender leaking.hss Been changed. Why dies my gage still read 10 - 20 lbs if pressure. Should be reading @ 50 - 60

Driving notice oil gage whent to low side red line.
Pulled over shut off.
No oil on dip stick.
Ran normally no noise no loss of power.
Changed oil pressure switch.
Gage now not reading above 30 lbs. Under load.
Oil is full.
Van has 202467 miles on on it.

Rent oil pressure test gauge @ parts store - remove oil pressure switch - screw in test gauge - - HOW MUCH OIL PRESSURE under same operating conditions?
Low quality oil pressure switch ?
Low viscosity oil ?
Cheap oil filter ?
Clean fresh 10-W-30 oil and a new ‘quality’ oil filter?
50 to 60 psi is EXTREME!
A little paranoia perhaps?
