My 06 Cadillac STS keeps making a ticking sound replaced battery and starter and still doing the same thing won't start

06 Cadillac STS won't start I've all ready replaced the battery and starter it keeps making a ticking sound from the starter and that's it I gets no crank or anything don't know what the problem is please help
