if you don't have any testing equipment,how do you know the alternator needs replaced?

it runs for 30 minutes and when i drive it just stalls out and then have a jump because the alternator isn't keeping the charge to the battery.

and that very well sounds like what it is,BUT,unless you are recharging the battery with a battery charger,i don't see how it is restarting,even with a jump.sooner or later,IF that is the problem,it won't even jump start.the alternator does not and will not charge a dead battery,it only maintains the charge on it.testing needs to be done.battery HAS to have a full charge on it to be tested! take it to Autozone,they will test it for free.you may have to take the battery out once you get there and get them to charge it.otherwise you are guessing at it.
