symptom's of a clogged transmission filter

Has not been serviced and fluid was low but is now level

You might try servicing the filter, but it might have more problems and the new fluid may wipe the clutches if worn very bad. What do you have to lose, if it works good otherwise it needs rebuilt anyway.
