This is very disconcerting to have that awful alarm go off, especially with passengers. Message also appears saying "stop engine." Oil is NEVER down when this happens, almost daily.

maybe it's oil pressure and not oil level? and just get ear plugs for passengers.

1. Disconnect the oil level switch on the front of the oil pan. 2. While monitoring the Engine Oil Level Switch parameter in ECM scan data, connect the oil level switch wires together with a jumper wire. 3. If the scan tool displays OK with the wires jumpered together, replace the oil level switch.
