I just had a new throttle positioning sensor and new EGR valve and new fuel pressure regulator and new catalytic converter and new fuel pump assembly and a new fuel filter put on my 91 Cadillac DeVille but as soon as it hits 43 miles per hour it starts to run rough and shake a bit it's got no acceleration and very sluggish and it's using a lot of gas

that's about when it shifts into overdrive.if that's what the problem is,look to the right of this page under problems and click on Problems,then click on this when you see it>>(Check Engine Light due to TCC fault).i hope that's not the problem,cause there are lots of bad stories on this problem.
the check engine light doesn't come on
how long since the plugs been changed?
I got the car in Oct. so prob a couple months before that. they told me they replaced them and two fuel injectors.
ok,before we start guessing to much? does the check engine light work? does it come on when key switch is first turned to ON,not start?
yes it comes on briefly. I checked the codes on the comp. but none r coming up
until the CEL comes on and gives a code,we could guess all day.only real way to find out,is a real good mechanic with a real good scan tool with live data to ride in the car while you drive it to watch the live data. it's not free,but will save you money in the long run from guessing and throwing parts at it!

One last question I keep checking the computer and I'm not getting any error codes at all I had the computer reset still no error codes the check engine lights not coming on but the car is running terrible what do I need to do to get some codes to show up other than I took it to a guy and he scanned it and nothing came up. is the service engine soon light the same as the check engine light the service engine light comes on but goes right back off at does the bald chick but I've never seen a check engine
yes,it's the same.that's what my 2000 f150 says,service engine soon.it lights up every time, when key is first turned on,this is a bulb check every time key is turned on to let you know all the bulbs are working in the cluster.then they go off,either in a few seconds or when you start the engine.
