Ive replaced the battery and the alternator and my car still wont start and i can hear the starter turning over why won't my car start?

When I turn the car on to crank it all of my lights and gauges work like a new car but when I turn the key over it's as dead as can be I'm clueless about this car I've changed the alternator and the battery still no fire going to the motor idk what the problem is will you please help me???
