Buick Verano message 'Service Power Steering' after going over a dip in the road

Stopped at light when changed took off, went over a dip in street. Car then made sound as though revving motor, jerks, doors unlock &relock. Barely moves then stops completely. It would not restart, turned key got only 'click, click sound. After 4 hrs still would not start. After 5 hrs started but did not run smoothly, it ran like it was out of breath, vibrating slightly. Afraid to move for fear of going dead. Did once before, but didn't die. Car has both new battery and alternator. Have not seen any leaks
What makes this problem better or worse?
Both times only happens when dip on the street but once did it stop & mot start
