While driving VCR turns on with nothing in it. Need another way to stop it -

Buick Terraza 2005 can’t open door when going 70 MPH to make VCR motor stop grinding. It starts on its own and will usually stop by itself if you don’t go crazy waiting for it to stop. Sometimes in a few minutes but other times it runs (grinds) 10/15 minutes. We have not used it. Bought van used. I have found where the fuse is at - passenger side under dash fuse #4 - put it looks like we will lose use of our radio (same fuse) if removed. Would like to disconnect it without losing radio.. Thanks
