Have a 96 Buick century start up run for 3 second shut off

I don't quite understand why the fuel pump was replaced without confirmation that was indeed actual problem.. Recommend fuel pressure *testing*.. There are a few more possibilities - for example the security system may be at fault .. The ONLY way to determine what needs to be repaired is through *hands-on* testing / evaluation.. This holds true with ANY automobile failure!
