My car wont accelerate after reaching 3rpm and just keeps reving

My car wont accelerate after reaching the 3rpm and just keeps reving. I would stop accelerating so the revs could go down and then it would accelerate again and do the same thing again after reaching 3rpm. Days later the drive stopped working it wouldn't accelerate, but it would accelerate on D3. Its a 3.8 supercharged
