What is your question?
Starter went bad and it acted like a battery issue I jumped it off and it would crank I replaced the starter and ever since my low beams don't work and my power door locks stopped working. I have checked all my fuses with a test light and pulling them out I have power at the boxes for those fuses and I have power at the light switch on the dash but I'm not getting any power to the light sockets themselves I have checked my grounds to the lights they are ok I've changed the bulbs but I'm not getting fire to the sockets still something has to be killing the power to those lights and door locks but I can't figure it out. I am a mechanic but I sure could use a little help any suggestions?
Yes I've checked every fuse on both fuse boxes and as far as I know nothing shorted out I didn't have sparks an didn't hear anything short out and it's only the low beams and door locks I have power at the fuse box but not to the light sockets I've checked the hot wire from lights and there isn't a break anywhere in the wire I'm so lost and yes it was working before the swap oh and I tried a different starter also and tried lights with starter unplugged also
Turn on the headlights, low beam and TEST the fuses under hood again.... with the test light. See if you can get the lights working first! What i am thinking is the low beam fuse may not power up at all for testing unless lights are on...... try it ...wth! One more thing....is this a customers vehicle? If so are YOU sure these items were working before?? This doesn't make ANY sense to me...2 completely different circuits!!!
Ok I replaced the pigtails and sockets for the lights and they now work but my auto door locks still don't work and I just checked the fuse again and it is not blown
