idles high sometimes 3000rpm light on sometimes .what to check? cars hot or cold

if coolant leaks from intake manifold u must repair first because coolant may go where it dont belong and give u more problem and it can have a very big vacuum leak that will cause the engine to idel high

agree with auto tech but leaking water from intake could mean poss vac leak at intake also. repair may fix boths issues
