it sounds like its rubbing. I have a 2006 buick rainier awd

IF you mean vehicle is 'bucking' (almost as if it stops and then goes) while turning sharp on dry pavement (?) .. Suspect problem with AWD transfer case.. In any event... Test drive by savvy personnel and full scan test (includes the AWD system) suggested... Note: Bucking is a sensation related to ANY 4wd that is engaged while *turning hard* on dry pavement like, say in a parking lot... Your AWD system is 'supposed' to automatically compensate for that..
Thank you. The only thing is, it does it wether its dry, or wet, or snow on the ground.
Hummm.. Now that surely makes a difference and is one of the problems with Internet auto repair information.. It is a best guess MOST of the time... Suggest test drive by qualified personnel and hands-on testing - inspection . That's about the only protocol for this type of problem... Good luck!
