Well if the 'ambient' (outside) air temperature is lower than the temperature you have selected ... The air coming form the HVAC system is naturally going to feel warmer! .. Set temperature control to the lowest setting and see what happens.. What's the outside temperature there? .. Do you need the A/C on? .. or maybe the heat needs to be on? .. It's 64° and rainy here in VA. .. Just saying.
most likely low on Freon. We could check this for you at our shop. Bring it in any time. The A/c system is a closed system which means it should not use up its charge. If your low on Freon this would indicate a leak. We would use either electronic leak detection or install dye into the system so we can trace it with a black light. There could be a leak in the system, or there could be a part in the a/c system that has failed. I would want to inspect the vehicle to find what has happened....Since there could be many reasons for this type of issue, I unfortunately would not be able to give any sort of quote until I inspected it. We are here 8 AM - 6 PM today, please give us a call and we can set up a time to look at it. Mike from Schaumburg Automedics Phone # 847 352 2886. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!
Ok... I checked the outside temperature at your location and it's 45°F !! .. So I really don't think there is a problem with the vehicles A/C system since it is NOT going to turn on when you have the desired temperature set at 70°F and it's only 45°F outside! ... When it warms up to around 80°F .. Try the A/C then.... Happy motoring.
