After changing fuel filter and pump car still stalls intermittingly....Please Help

Any engine codes? Mass Air Flow sensors give a bunch of trouble on this engine!! If you are just going to replace a part that is the first one to try. A scan test first would be a good idea also. With engine at warm idle, tap MAF with screwdriver handle, if ANY response from engine replace the MAF sensor!
I scan anything from 1980&1/2 to present with a Snap-on modis!! That is what that black connector under the dash is for! Guess a lot of places just do OBD II. You can read the codes by jumper the tow terminals to the right of the connector, check engine light will flash the stored codes. Google how to get codes on an OBD I or older GM cars, i am sure you can find it, maybe a youtube video. Post codes and we will try to help. It is easily done just count the flashes then it will pause for the next number of flashes, ie two flashes pause two more flashes that is code 22 and so on. One flash pause two flashes is code 12 = no trouble found! It will repete each code 3 times before going to the next so keep terms. jumpered until code 12 comes up again! Google can type faster tham me! So look it up.
Push Rod....You wrote tow terminals on right of the connector. Did you mean TWO terminals?? AND.. My connector is hanging from bottom of dash. Can you discribe which is the right side of the connector. So that I can jump with the KEY that I have, Because some of the SLOTS in the connector have no metal terminal inside the connector. Can I explain my connector this way....Is it the two terminals above and below each other OR is it the two that are furthest apart from each other on the top of the connector? Please continue to Help......Thankx......Al... And what is a SNAP ON MODIS.
Push Rod........New Problem..Massive oil leak NEAR oil filter...But not comming from the oil filter. Where is the oil comming from?
Thanks Push Rod........ I was givin' advise on the crankcase position sensor, Said to unplug harness on sensor,Put AC Volt meter on two prongs,Spin engine over, if no voltage sensor is bad... Is that even possible? I just tried your advise...And the engine didn't even cough!!! Will will point me in another direction? Thanks Push Rod............
Any response from the tapping, even a change of the way it sounds that is in rythem with tapping, replace MAF sensor! Yes it is possible the crankshaft sensor is the problem. However the MAF is the most likely suspect. Scan test needed!!
Auto Zone and Buick Dealership says no scan test available for '95 or older models.Driving with fuel cap loosed has worked for the last 24 hrs. Any Vapor lock possible????? Thanks
