Why did my 2014 Buick Lacrosse display screen go dark while driving?

Occurred suddenly, radio still worked. No display, including clock and rear camera. After an hour or so parked everything worked fine. Why? How do I fix this so it doesn't happen again?

What makes this problem better or worse?

Immediately after stopping, tried restarting but display was still black.
