when i open l/s frt. door. no lights come on. and the master pwr window sw doesn't open any of the windows. When I exit and close the door the lights and radio do not turn off. After 10 mins all lights turn off. This has been happening for 5 days. On the 3 day everything worked as it should, then on the 4 day the problem came back and is still not working.

*Strongly suspect* broken wire inside that rubber wire loom there at the drivers door hinges. Common problem I have found, just fixed a Chevy Equinox, exact same symptoms on it!.. Broken wire can intermittently make contact and all will work angin, until next failure.. Open door, activate window switch while wiggling, twisting rubber wire loom, if window responses at all.. Well there's your problem!.. This is just a possibility that I have found on these GM vehicles at the shop.. Can also be scanned with proper scanner to view live BCM data... Good luck with it!
Thanks so much for your fast reply. I pulled, squeezed, twisted, and did all i could while holding the window switch down. I couldn't get anything to work. Do u know if there is a module or breaker in the door that would do this or any other condition? I'm from the old school and was looking for a Dr Jam switch that use to come on all doors (that was so easy to fix). I dread going to the dealer to have it scanned $$$$ I will keep u informed
Don't have to go to the *stealer* for scan.. Good independent auto repair shop should be capable... Can pull rubber loom from the 'DOOR' and inspect wiring.. Easy to reattach.. Does have module!.. Dome light switch is part of the door latch. I still suspect wiring issue!
Thanks again. Do you live anywhere near Williamsville NY. Need work?
Virginia.
It's me again, i notice today that the Remote Start doesn't work. Is that part of the same wire problem. I'm taking it the dealer stealer Tuesday. I'll let you know what happens.
No, don't think that's related to the problem I suspected.. That does sound more like a BCM issue.. However a full scan test should help pinpoint the problem, Good luck with it!
Hello again Pushrod, I want to let u know that u were spot on. After spending $217.50 they said the same thing u said. "found open wire(cut) appoximately 12" from Motor/Module in l/s drivers dr. I did get a 1 hour of diagnosis free of charge, they repaired it and rerouted the harness. Now i'm trying to get my $217.50 back (any ideas) This is definitely an assembly problem in more that the FairFax Plant.
I'm glad to hear it's fixed!.. Only recourse is to call GM Corporate Office and explain your experience, that may help... It's a shame that one of their top tier automobiles (Buick) has such problems when other lesser makes and models do not .. Thanks for the reply, it will help other owners/readers that may have similar trouble I'm sure.. I wish others that visit this site would do the same thing! .. Usually we don't ever hear back form the majority of them.. That really doesn't help anyone.. Kudos to ya!
