2008 BUICK LACROSSE SERIOUS LOCKOUT PROBLEM - FLAGGED AS A SAFETY ISSUE AT BUICK CUSTOMER RELATIONS (BCR) PER MY COMPLAINT TO BCR !!! My 75 Year Old Senior Citizen Mother Got LOCKED & TRAPPED Inside Of Her Car For 1/2 Hour. Could NOT Open Any 4 Doors To Escape. Steering Wheel Locked Up & Car Key Would NOT Turn In Ignition. It Happened In Dead Of Winter. So NO Heat & NO Fresh Air !! In COLD Weather -- A Person Could Freeze To Death OR In HOT Weather A Person Could Suffocate By Being Trapped Inside Of Their Car !! My Mom Became A Prisoner Inside Of Her Own Car. Finally -- After 1/2 Hour She Heard 3 Clicks -- CLICK CLICK CLICK. Strangely -- Door Lock(s) Finally Released & My Mom Could Finally Get OUT Of Her Car !! QUESTIONS When Will The Next Unexpected LOCKOUT Problem Happen ?? How Long Will Next Unexpected LOCKOUT Problem Last ?? ADVISE TO OTHER CONSUMERS FILE COMPLAINT WITH BUICK CUSTOMER RELATIONS & NHTSA see my next post with contact info

ONE TIME INCIDENT
Thank You :) I Am Persistent & Will Get To The Bottom Of This Problem !! I Encourage Other Persons With Similar Door Locks Problem To File A Complaint With Buick Customer Relations (BCR) & NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration). I Spoke To BCR Several Times & "Learned The Ropes" HOW To Properly Approach This Problem & HOW To Get Final Resolution. I Do NOT Want To End Up Frustrated Like Many Other People At Repair Pal Website Who Got NoWhere With Door Lock Problems & Got Stuck To Live With It OR Pay Out Of Their Own Pocket To Get It Repaired. Consumers Need To Get BCR & NHTSA Involved !! These 2 Entities Work Together To Issue Recalls For Safety Issues.
Thank you for this validation. I am completely at the end of my rope with locking issues on my 2016 lacrosse. Please tell me where I need to go...because I will not rest until these locking issues are resolved. Aside from being locked inside my car for 10 minutes...i also have been locked out. Yesterday...left the fob and my phone in the car while I got out to pump gas. Fortunately i was near home so my husband could come with the other fob. The car should NOT lock with the fob in it!!!! Please don't tell me that I need to take the key with me every time I get gas. This is my dealerships solution. I am furious and at the end of my rope.
