What is your question?
I had my blower motor resister replaced a week ago by a friend. They were unable to fully remove the old one at the time so he just hooked the new one up to the blower motor. A week later it is causing the same issue of not turning the blower motor off unless I pull the fuse. I was told yesterday if it is not installed properly it can cause it to not cool properly and malfunction. I am having it put in properly tomorrow. My concern is that this new one I bought will be defected now. I'm hoping not as it was 70$. Any ideas or advice on if this will be the case or not. It's cold in Indiana so I really want this fixed
How long has your 2005 Buick LaCrosse had this problem?
Week after replaced

The wire harness connector should be closely examined for any signs of excessive heat caused by high resistance - - melted plastic - blackened wire terminals.. New harness pigtail (with connector) is available.
