What is your question?
It's been about a month or so that it's been happening. It's only at night that it's a problem as there's no problem seeing the speedometer during the day.Thank you.

I have the same problem and no it isn't the dimmer.
well, hopefully Andreana will see this and reply back with the fix.it was around Thanksgiving when this was posted.
I've been told it has to do with the wiring. I personally just live with it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. LOL I hope they figure it out
i have seen this or heard of this somewhere else? and if memory is correct,i think it was a faulty dimmer switch that corrected the problem.
I will try that out. Thank you!
you're welcome. post results.
Hi Stevie. Just saw your recent suggestion. You were correct and I'm embarrassed to say that. I should have checked that first. Thank you for all of your input!
NAW, no reason to be embarrassed! sometimes things just happen.have seen may times, maybe we do it,or a kid,or just by wiping off to clean it! just glad you found it,cause if you would have taken it to say the dealer, sometimes they might tell you it was something else(yes some are not to honest, repair shops either)and might have charged you a bunch of $$$$.got a story for you>>my 2000 F150 has a digital odometer.sometimes the miles just go away(black out)could not see my miles! so i beat my dash up,miles came back.could be sitting in driveway at home, just with key on,not running, miles go away.slap my dash, may or may not come back on(light up).don't lose any miles, cause computer keeps up with that.started researching.found it to be a VERY COMMON PROBLEM ON THE FORDS,LINCOLNS,ESCALADES .found a very detailed fix with step by step instructions and pictures on a Ford Forum.it was a cold solder joint on the printed circuit board, only where the ribbon cable connects for the miles!!so,i'm going do this.took the instrument cluster panel out, took apart, resoldered 9 pins,YEP it worked, that was around 30,000 miles ago.NOW,i call the dealer AFTER i fixed it.Service manager said,Oh,that's a very common problem on the FORDS and there is NO FIX? have to bring it to us,we MUST replace the cluster(still didn't tell em i already fixed it). i said REALLY. he said Yep,there is no fix,got to replace with new one.ok,i said how much?? he says $800.00.then he said Oh AND we have to reprogram your keys to the new cluster or my truck won't start? how much is that,$400.00 more?i fixed it for 15 cents worth of solder, but still i didn't tell him?i just told him a few things about his kin folk and then i hang up the phone, the end!! Happy Easter.......
