the problem is not the wiper motor or the transmission which is also known as the crank. The problem iPhone on a 2002 Buick I worked on is a tab that is bent upwards from the bracket the wiper motor is mounted to Ben and it doesn't stop or park in the correct position. what I had to do was to bend the bracket or tab on the bracket sold the arm on the transmission when goes into a reverse mode or park mode has to hit that tab and it was missing you so check that out and see if you could find that problem for yourself. by the way I also replaced the pulse board in the transmission twice which I didn't need but the Ben tab was really the problem. I did call a GM dealer and they do sell the mounting brackets for a price of $150 if all else fails.
